SpirInCo Spiral Buildings EXPANSION


SpirInCo buildings are designed for ease of expansion. This dramatically reduces the time needed and labor costs. Much of the framing can be done pre-assembled and lifted into place by crane. The steps involved in expansion are shown below for a scale model house.

Original 7-level hexagonal house
Step 1. Roof molding, siding from side of highest level,  and some siding from the core facing are removed.
Step 2. Lowest roof panels and rafter trusses (attached with lag screws) are removed.
Step 3. Rafter wall spacers are removed.

Step 4. Left wall is lifted in.

Step 5. Outer walls are put on.
Step 6. New floor/attic truss/joists and floor panels are put in.
Step 7. The same rafter-wall spacers are re-installed.
Step 8. The same rafters, roof panels, and moldings are re-installed.
Final 8-level hexagonal house!
With just 3 new walls and a new joist system, 600 square feet have been added to this building
